Motif: Our organic Naturfrisk Apple features the image of a hazel dormouse (muscardinus avellanarius). The preferred habitat of the hazel dormouse is at the undisturbed edge of a deciduous forest with plenty of herbs, berry bushes and bracken on the forest floor. During the summer, the hazel dormouse spends most of its time in vegetation, but it hibernates either in a nest it builds or in the earth. The development of more intensive forestry and the replacement of deciduous forests with conifers has had a negative impact on the living conditions of the hazel dormouse, since it no longer has the same opportunity to propagate.
